Privacy Policy
Effective: August 18, 2026
AskBeforeYouEat is built calm-first, and that includes your data. This policy describes what TruePrimAI, Inc. collects and how it is used.
What we collect
- Account: name, email, and a securely hashed password (we never store your password itself).
- What you log: food and activity entries, weigh-ins, goals and macro targets, and — only if you opt in — wellbeing practices (such as prayer, gratitude, mood, and sleep).
- Optional phone number: only if you enable text reminders.
- Photos you submit: meal or menu photos are sent to our AI provider to generate estimates and are not used to identify you.
- Usage analytics: we use Google Analytics to understand aggregate site usage (pages visited, device type). Analytics does not receive your logs, weight, or personal entries.
How we use it
To run the Service: computing your targets and trends, generating coaching suggestions, sending reminders you asked for, and improving the product. AI features send the relevant text or photo to our AI provider (OpenAI) to generate a response; your account identity is not included.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not share your logs, weight, or practices with advertisers.
- Staff dashboards show engagement (that you logged), never the content of what you logged or your weight values — redaction is built in by design.
Retention and deletion
Your data is retained while your account is active. To delete your account and its data, email hello@askbeforeyoueat.com from your account email and we will remove it within 30 days.
Security
Passwords are stored using industry-standard key-derivation hashing; data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored on access-controlled servers.
Children
The Service is not directed to children under 18 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
We may update this policy; we will note the effective date above.
